Held in the shadow of Concorde “Alpha Charlie” the fair attracts traders and aviation enthusiasts not just from the UK but from Europe and beyond. The event takes place twice a year, usually in February and July in and around the Concorde hangar situated at the Runway Visitor Park, Manchester Airport.
The society has attended the event as an exhibitor for a number years during which many have stopped by to say “hello” and see what the world of amateur radio has to offer. But, not only that, with a wealth of radio experience available we are able to offer advice to visitors on a range of subjects including receiving the various air bands both VHF and HF. It is also great too meet other licenced amateurs and radio enthusiasts who also visit the event many from other clubs in the region.
So, if you are in the area why not come along and say hello. You can usually find us in the corner of the hangar near the windows and next to the café entrance. We look forward to seeing you.
