We love "playing" with technology, and are sourcing some electronics kits to build ar the club, either by yourself if you're feeling particularly proficient, or with some assistance to get you going. The idea is to become familiar with the workings of our more expensive magic-boxes, and learn valuable construction, soldering and diagnosing skills.

Here are a few we will be building at the club for a trial but others will be added soon.

A 7.040MHz crystal based 40meters CW transmitter/receiver for morse.

ROCKMITE (£25.00 including postage)

Another 40meters CW transmitter/receiver but rated at 8W input power.

POTATO (£55.00 including postage) (I dont make.up these names!)

A PLL controlled VFO driven 10m AM 5W telephony transceiver. With LED display and fist microphone. Let's build a few and start a 10meter 'net'!
